Ceremony Details

The ceremony will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m. at the Botanic Garden's Bland Cottage

Reception Details

A reception will take place immediately following the ceremony at the Botanic Garden under the Heritage Pavilion.

More details coming soon...

Our special day will take place fully outdoors. We're praying for beautiful summer Georgia weather, but we also know rain may be a possibility. Please plan accordingly! If weather is bad, we'll move under the venue's pavilion. Rain or shine, we're tying the knot!

The ceremony will begin in the evening, and dinner will be served following. But, if you're anything like us, you'll be hungry before you arrive. Please check out some of our favorite Statesboro eateries below for your Saturday lunch plans!

We're a pretty laid back couple, and we want everyone to have a great time at our wedding! Semi-formal dress is perfectly fine. We know it might be hot outside, and we want everyone to be comfortable and happy!

The Botanic Garden takes pride in the beauty of the venue, so please be considerate of the space. Feel free to explore the trails, take lots of pictures and have a great time, but be sure we leave the place as beautiful as we found it.

The parking lot holds up to 90 vehicles, which should be plenty of space. We still, however, encourage car-pooling if possible. You are welcome to park at our apartment complex in the visitor spots and car-pool.

We definitely want to see our wedding on your social media using #ForTheLongHall2017, but please refrain from clicking, flashing and using cellphones during the ceremony. We appreciate it!

What to do in Statesboro

What to Do

If you're entertaining kiddos all weekend (or perhaps you just want to check it out for yourself), the GSU Center for Wildlife Education is a great way to spend some time! With hands-on activities, birds of prey, snakes, insects and more, there's something for everyone to enjoy at a very small admission rate. Note that the Center is closed on Saturdays in June. This is perfect for a Friday afternoon excursion!

If you're in town on Friday evening, be sure to stop by downtown Statesboro for the First Friday event! Vendors, live entertainment, food and fun will be your perfect welcome to the Boro. Each FF comes with a fun theme, and we'll be sure to fill you in closer to the time. Cory and I love going to FFs, and we always try to get some Cork's Kettle Corn while we're there!

The Clubhouse is full of indoor and outdoor fun for the entire family. Cory and I have played laser tag, gone bowling and spent many hours goofying off with friends here. There's a full-service bar and restaurant, go-karts, mini-golf and an indoor playground, all located right across the street from campus.

Listen to the "Statesboro Blues," then head on over to the songwriter's trail- The Blind Willie McTell Trail. Cory loves the history of this beautiful walking path full of art, bike racks and picnic tables. Let's hope for good weather in June!

The Georgia Southern Museum (located right on Sweetheart Circle!) has a 78-million year old Mosasaur fossil, the oldest whale skeleton in North America, a kid's interactive zone and quarterly visiting exhibits. Children under 3 are admitted for free, and adults can enter for just $2.

Splash in the Boro has pools, a lazy river, a giant water bucket, a boogie boarding pool and more. It's located right by Mill Creek Park downtown, a giant, beautiful park! It's fun for all ages, and I'm sure it'll be awesome in June!

What do Eat

What to Eat in Statesboro

We love us some El Jalepeno! Conveniently located across the street from campus, this Mexican restaurant is a great place for good food and good drinks!

Visit Aubrey's first place of employment in the Boro, Millhouse Steakhouse. Order lots of bread (it's amazing), seafood, steak, appetizers or burgers. There's a full bar, live music and a wrap-around porch.

Did you know that Zaxby's started out in Statesboro? Visit the birthplace of finger-lickin good chicken at either of the two locations in the Boro!

Another one of our go-to date nights is Orchid! It's a quiet restaurant with affordable hibachi and sushi. Note: they don't cook in front of you here, but it's still awesome.

If you've got a sweet tooth while you're exploring downtown, be sure to stop in Sugar Magnolia for some cookies, cupcakes and sweet treats!

Be sure to download our custom wedding coloring book for the kiddos! There will be plenty to color at the wedding, but we also encourage you to draw/color us some pictures ahead of time and post them to social media using #ForTheLongHall2017 so we can share them on our site!
