Wow. The chaos of trying to plan a wedding, taking a full course-load, working several jobs/internships, preparing for graduation and trying to squeeze in sleep and exercise somewhere is EXHAUSTING, and I'm speaking for both of us. I was hoping I'd have the chance to blog about every little detail along the way, but I just can't keep up! I want to remember this year, though, and all of the sweet memories that we're making along the way...the thoughts just may be jumbled for a while.
Yesterday I FINALLY got my ring back from the jeweler! For the last two weeks it has been getting resized, and I've missed it SO much. I feel like I just got engaged again. I can't stop staring at it!
Yesterday we also had a monumental day...we picked our venue! For now it's a secret, but we know it's just perfect. It's outdoors, what we both wanted. Country-feel. Meaningful to us. Absolutely beautiful. And, we love the wedding coordinator who helped us out! She was very kind and thoughtful, and her own daughter got married at the venue a few years ago, so she knows how everything works firsthand. We're going to talk with our folks, gather up our money from savings, and book the venue officially in the next few weeks. WOW!
I've also been working on my MOH and bridesmaids baskets, and I must say, I'm pretty proud. I finished Shelby's (my sister) last night, and I cannot wait to give it to her. Cory and I are traveling to my home this afternoon, so I plan to ask her this evening (along with a Zoolander sister date, of course). This weekend, Shelby and mom can help me put together my bridesmaids baskets so I can ask those ladies next week! All of the wedding crafts are making me even more excited than I already was.

This is such a sweet time. It really is. Everyone always told me that the engagement shows how you really work with someone, how you are as a team. And it's so true.
Cory and I work so well together. We listen. We compromise. We both genuinely want the other to be happy.
I couldn't ask for a more thoughtful man. He is bending over backwards to make sure I have the perfect day, the perfect ring, the perfect everything. He has no idea. If he knew how thankful I was for his efforts, well, I'd lose all the power ;) HA!
