Let's Eat Cake!

Each day, Cory and I are checking things off our list and growing more and more eager for our big day! (With each payment, we also grow more and more comfortable with the idea of eloping...ha!)

One major item we crossed off this month was booking our wedding cake!

Last week our (also newly engaged) friends joined us for a cake tasting in Metter, GA where we met with baker Gina F. Lane from Memory Lane Catering & Cakes, Inc. We were able to try three different cakes, three fillings and three icing flavors, and man were we in sweets Heaven!

I'm not much of a cake person myself (at all-- I'm a cookie cake girl), but even I had to admit I was falling in love with the soft lemon cake and the lemon buttercream frosting. YUM!

After we gorged ourselves on cake (and still had a huge box to take home to enjoy), we knew right then that we were going to book!

I'm so excited about the cake design we're looking at, and I know the cake will be delicious for all of our guests. Just be sure to save a piece for us!
